Inputs (units in metres unless stated)

Batter is taken as horizontal offset per 1.0 m vertical (e.g., 0.20 → 1V:0.20H). Positive values taper outwards as you go down.

Elevation (not to scale until you set values)

Stem & faces Shoe Cap Dimensions

Assumptions & Notes

  • Dirty wall height (H) is measured from underside of cap to top of shoe (i.e., stem height).
  • Top width is the stem thickness right below the cap (excluding cap overhangs, if any).
  • Front batter acts on the front (river) face across the full H.
  • Back/End batter acts on the back face and changes at the kink level measured downward from the underside of cap.
  • Shoe sits below the stem: thickness Tshoe, projecting beyond the stem base by Pf (front) and Pb (back).
  • All inputs are geometric only (no loads/design). Add your own standards‑based checks if needed.
If your organization uses a different sign convention or definition for batters/kink level, adjust the inputs accordingly (or tweak the code where marked).
